GS Florida was created in September, 2004 and with capital funding from Greenfield Partners, purchased the site for the future community of Restoration in January, 2006 under the legal entity of Hammock Creek Green LLC. The Restoration DRI is a +/- 5,181 acre proposed Development of Regional Impact in eastern Volusia County adjacent to I-95. The property is located within the city of Edgewater, Florida. The city of Edgewater has annexed lands west of I-95 to accommodate future urban growth. This project is within those designated areas. Naming the project “Restoration” not only reflects our much discussed commitment to restore and manage the ecology of the site, but our equally strong commitment to develop the built environment within the project boundaries so that it works seamlessly with the natural environment. GS Florida is a separate subsidiary of GS Companies.
